THE PROCESS & SCULPTURE
INFORMATION

MOLDING: To immortalise someone a mold is taken of the actual person. This process only takes a few minutes and can be done any time or place, for example Martin Johnson was immortalised at the Media Centre, Auckland Airport. Because it's a life mold of the actual person it captures the most intricate of skin texture including finger prints, scars, and any bumps or lumps specific to that individual. From the primary mold a secondary silicon mold is made and a pre-determined number of copies is made from that. Once the series is complete the silicon mold is then destroyed and no further copies can ever be produced.

CASTING: Each Limited Edition sculpture is hand crafted, cast in resin, hydrostone, glass or bronze.

Many hours are spent on every sculpture to ensure that an extremely high standard of quality is maintained. Private commissions can be cast in glass or bronze.

PAINTING: Each sculpture is individually hand brush painted. Layer upon layer of fine paint is applied to high light the most intricate detail. Each sculpture is then sealed with a clear enamel sealer for protection.

THE FRAME: Sculptures may be presented in a beautiful hand crafted timber frame, made of recycled New Zealand hard wood. Alternately the frame can be produced from native timbers from other countries if required.

LETTER OF AUTHENTICITY: Each sculpture is personally authenticated with a "Certificate Of Authenticity", personally signed by the Legend and witnessed by Jo-Lyn and Della of Immortaleyes. If they are not present at the time of the signing an affidavit is signed by the Legend and witnessed stating the number of certificates and copies that will be made. Each certificate is individually printed on hand

made New Zealand flax paper with Native New Zealand dried ferns. Once signed they are sealed in a laminate so they can never be altered or forged.

PERSONAL PROFILE: Each framed sculpture is presented with a black and white photo of the legend playing, a personal profile shows statistics and dates, that are lazered onto a gold coloured metal plaque which is presented behind UV protective glass. (see upper left)

SIGNATURE. A separate window reveals a large signature personally signed by the Legend. Gold non-fade ink is used on a black card that is presented behind UV protective glass for investment protection (sample shown left).
